EPDM flame retardant rubber

EPDM flame retardant rubber offers:

• Wide range of thicknesses: Thicknesses from 1 mm to 10 mm are available to suit multiple applications (sealing, gaskets, coatings, etc.).
• Optimal density (1.45 g/cm³): Offers an ideal balance between flexibility, mechanical strength and lightness.
• Safety: Complies with EN 45545-2 railway safety standard. Reaches HL1, HL2 and HL3 approval levels in various categories (R1, R9, R10, R22, R23, R24), ensuring maximum protection against fire, smoke and toxicity.

Fireproof EPDM rubber has applications in:

• Rail vehicle interiors: panels, coatings, thermal and acoustic insulation systems, sealing gaskets.
• Rail vehicle exteriors: sealing and weatherproofing components.
• Other industrial sectors: although it is approved for railway applications, its excellent fire resistance and mechanical properties make it suitable for other industrial applications where a quality fireproof material is required.
• Belts, gaskets, rubber sleeves and molded parts.
