PTFE (also known as Teflon) is a technical plastic whose main virtue is that it is practically inert, being resistant to almost all corrosive chemical products, except in very special circumstances.
Its toxicity is practically zero, it has a very low friction coefficient and it is highly impermeable, and will maintain its qualities in humid environments.
It is also an excellent electrical insulator and highly flexible.
Its most well-known quality is that it is non-stick. It is also inflammable.

Temperatures
From -180°C to 220°C
In industry it is used in articulated elements, since its anti-friction capacity avoids the need for lubricants.
